2010 Season

2009 Season

No playoffs this year. Ashland United failed to clinch one of two conference playoff spots, but improved upon the 2008 season with a record of 2 - 3 - 5 (11 pts).

A rocky start to the season included a peculiar schedule with the first five matches to be played at home. Many of those games were then rescheduled following the loss of Framingham State as a home field, and subsequent field troubles.

Despite a roster of 24, United was unable to dress more than 14 or so players at several matches. Including one match of "All Ashland" players - 12 of them - who managed to come back to tie Hydra FC 3-3 during a wet game in Grafton.

Matches against TVL league rivals Hopkinton proved to be exciting with United dominating away 3-0. But with Hopkinton taking the lead at the Mindess, only to allow United to come from behind for another tie. Such was the theme to United’s five draws.

United was in the playoff hunt late into the season. Needing three wins, they managed a win and a tie against the Black Rhinos. Those were followed by a dreadful loss to perennial conference leaders Shipyard, which saw goalkeeper Kellen Rauch, disabled early on after a cleat struck him in the face.

In the 2010 season, United will look to notch a few more wins, reduce costly yellow cards, and improve commitment.
